I'll have to DL and pop in vent sometime, I know I said I would but never got around to it.

Right now I'm having fun reading the thread over at eq2flames.com about the Community Relations team pulling LFG's access to devs and SOE management. Funny stuff! It appears the game might finally be imploding, 2 years after it stopped being good.

EDIT: LOL I just found another thread on there outing about 10 devs' ingame toons.

Man NPU is really taking it on the chin over Astaroth...kinda funny reading some of the posts saying they didn't know he was a dev.

I mean hell, I knew the guy was an SOE insider the first moment I got in the guild and could see the roster...incredibly cut-throat raid guild and they leave a SHADOWKNIGHT in? HMMMM

The guy raided with us maybe 4 times during my 4-5 months there, and even then was never allowed to do anything important. He was a pretty bad player overall.

The only thing I ever saw him tank was those incredibly easy crystal-mob contesteds in KoS...those things were such chumps anyone could tank them. Hell we used to fight them 2 at a time just to annoy whatever other raid guild was coming to kill them.

Funny stuff. I wonder if Kiti and er...whatever that couple's names were, are still in NPU?

You see, kids, that's what happens when you play with devs! That's exactly why we stuck with having a player in the guild who only sleeps with devs/logs substantial time under their desks (it would be FAr bEyond professionaL tO staRt naming names, but I don't think that I have to spell it out for you guys).

Shadowknights still make me rofl on the inside. At the same time, I kinda feel bad for spending 2+ years watching them get rammed hardcore and not doing anything about it.

And as a final note, Kiti stopped playing the game a while ago, so he's done with them. Eskie is still in the guild and raiding, as of last week, anyway. And Marrius stopped a while ago, too. Anything beyond that, Goremarr pleads the Fifth!


P.S. Muggi, you suck for disappearing!! Hope everything's working out well, and stop into vent, before i have to come to PA and give you a beat-down, oldschool-style (whatever that means)!!

Yeah you're right Murg, I should apologize for just up and disappearing. It was a shitty thing to do. I can't even say why I really did it...

I think one major factor was I had said from the beginning that I was coming back part-time, but it was becoming very, very full-time again. I also got tired of playing solo all the time..WoW's a fun game, but for a guy that's played some pretty great (in their time) group-oriented games, doing nothing but soloing for 60+ levels was starting to get to me.

Ah well, as I told Abigirl, what fun would it have been beating Illidan or whoever if the MUG was around? Muggi is the ultimate I WIN button. You guys need some CHALLENGE! :p

PS- Say hey to Eskie whenever you talk to her again, I always thought she was a fun girl.

Man the more I thought about it, i'd love to hear Eskie's PoV on the whole outing of Astaroth thing. I mean, people always HATED NPU for being good, but now they're being treated as basically a laughingstock.

Devs showing favor to high-end raidguilds is older than old news but I guess the fact that they got caught with documentation is the real kicker.
